License of each request's code

Where it is discussed
In the pull request that proposes it, in the repo. Anyone can comment before signing up.

Open: it is the first decision still missing. Some companies forbid their employees from contributing to code under certain licenses (AGPL, above all), and some projects need nobody to close what was made for them. The board proposed a two-part regime: what sidepro designs, under open licenses; each project’s data and knowledge, under its own protocols. What remains to decide is the default rule for a request’s code: whether the project chooses from a short list of open licenses, what that list is, and whether AGPL is on it.

If your contract forbids some license, your answer is worth more than any opinion: comment on this RFC’s PR or write to the project email. While it is open, the FAQ says “we don’t know yet”, and anyone with a restrictive contract can wait for it to close before signing up.
